Enter the Stratusphere ... In New Zealand!
For this episode I traveled to Auckland, New
Zealand where I learned to sail aboard an
America's Cup race boat! While I was there I
visited the Sky Tower which stands at 329 m,
making it the tallest tower in the southern
hemisphere. It is sort of like the CN Tower we
have here in Toronto – except for a small
difference, in true Kiwi spirit – they use their
tower to do adventure activities! You'll see it
in the show – but they have this 360 degree
walkway that you can walk around the observation
deck – get this, on the outside! Trust me, the
best views in Auckland! Another thing I did on
the tower was jump off it ... yeah, jump off it! I did a 195 m base jump by wire – it was the
quickest way to get down!

I also traveled to Rotorua, which is known as
the heart of New Zealand's Maori culture. I
visited the Whakarewarewa Village where I did
some training with traditional Maori weapons
... and got some traditional Maori ink!
I must say, New Zealand has it all – beaches,
village life, city life, hiking, you name it
–
they have it and Kiwis are all about adventure
–
the list is endless!
