Enter the Stratusphere ... In Fiji!
For this episode, instead of fighting – I
danced! I learned the traditional Fijian dance
known as the Meke. They made me a traditional
costume (made out of tree bark!) and then I did
a performance – so instead of kicking butt, I shaked my butt!
I'd have to say Fiji has some of the most
breathtaking views in the world – the water
there is crystal clear – we went out on a
fishing trip (that part didn't make the show),
and I swear we were so far out and yet you could
still see the ocean floor!
I also got a chance to visit a village and see
how traditional Fijian village life is lived.
They welcomed me to the village, prepared a
traditional meal for me and gave me a look at
how they live their simple, but utterly
fulfilling life. And the crazy thing was the
whole village were crazy WWE fans! They have
one TV set in the chiefs house and the whole
village gathers there to watch wrestling -
pretty amazing the reach of WWE. Not only were
they wrestling fans, but they were Trish fans
and I realized this when the whole village,
after they sang me a song to welcome me, ended
it with my 'point' ... you know how I would do
my entrance and do 'the point' – well, the whole
village stood up with their feet spread wide and
did 'the point' – it was awesome! They Stratusfied me that's for sure!
