My Trishmas List
Yes, I must admit I did have a somewhat easy time this year when it came to my holiday shopping as I went right into the back of my warehouse and crossed off just about everyone on my list! But, why not? I've meticulously chosen my partners and hand-picked each and every item in my line based on what I know helps me live a healthy and balanced life. And what better than to give the gift of health and wellness. Here are some of the items I've got bundled away for my friends and family this holiday season... and if my friends and family are reading this – stop reading here!
1. Genuine Health – I got the lovely idea from my friends at Genuine Health to create homemade gifts of health with these giveable recipes in a jar. I bought a bunch of mason jars and cute little labels with the recipe that I tied on with ribbon. I also found the little jars of Greens+ make perfect stocking stuffers! 2. New Balance Running Shoes – I just recently became the brand ambassador for New Balance, you may have seen some of candids from my latest shoot on twitter I did which featured the Minimus shoe. This shoe is hands down one of the best shoes I've come across for my functional training sessions like CrossFit and circuit training. The barefoot inspired trainers are all the rage right now – and now I get why! These shoes compliment the natural movement of the foot and body so closely that I even practice yoga in them. Most of you know I like to mix up my workouts so when I can transition from my yoga flow to squats to rope climbs – that makes this lover of the multi-task a happy girl! There will be some happy footed folks on my list this year. The shoes I'm wearing in the pic are the Minumus 20v3 which is available in Sport Chek and online at NewBalance.ca.
3. Teas and Tea Infuser – One of my favorite new additions to my line is my tea infuser and my latest loose leaf tea, a special Trishmas blend – Sugar Plum. It's always so much fun when it comes time to pick the perfect blend. Working with Raelene Gannon, one of Canada's only tea sommeliers is a treat – it's amazing what goes into tea blending, it really is an art! The teas (which contain 10 servings) make perfect stocking stuffers.
Sugar Plum will only be available for a limited time. It is available at my studio or online. Pair it with our tea infuser, which keeps your tea hot and perfectly steeped. Also available are Strength (green tea base), Shape (a slimming oolong blend), Spirit (chamomile base) and Detox. 4. Yoga Inspired Jewelry – This beautiful line is handcrafted by one of our longitme members at Stratusphere. She started creating pieces for her friends and when someone from the studio asked to have one designed, Daphne began creating yoga inspired pieces which we thought were a perfect addition to offer at the studio. Daphne handpicks all the elements and she uses a combination of materials like semi precious stones, beads and leather to create beautiful and unique pieces. Ellie Roo Jewelry is sold in studio or online.
5. Liquid Nutrition – 'Tis the season for overindulgence! And there is no better way to flush out the toxins and get back to your healthy ways by filling up on nutritious veggies and fruits. The folks at Liquid Nutrition call their concoctions ‘functional beverages' – and I like that because it really emphasizes the fact that each and every one of the ingredients in your drink offers a benefit. Check out some of the ingredients in the drink I recently created for their menu – Namaste, it has Coconut Water (Electrolytes), kale (Antioxidants & Vitamin K) and organic peanut butter (protein) to name a few. I'm currently working on another Stratus-inspired functional beverage for the new year. For my busy on the go friends, gift cards to Liquid Nutrition will help them keep up their healthy eating while on the go.
Liquid Nutrition has stores in Ontario, Montreal and they just opened their first international store in the Bahamas. In 2013 look for stores to be popping up all across Canada and in the US!
