Inside Sports w/ Dan Tencer Recap
Trish made several stops at radio stations across Edmonton to promote Maximum Fighting's upcoming event. This was her fourth appearance:
- The host asks what brings her to Edmonton? "You!", she said.
- She gave the backstory on how she got into wrestling.
- What was her first match like? It was different going from a gym to 20,000 people. She says it was the scariest moment in her life.
- The host brings up her being put through a table by Bubba Ray Dudley and asks if there's a secret behind it. Trish says it's real & hurts like hell. And you get splitters in your back. She found it quite cool though. The "boys" gave her the nod of approval.
- She compares wrestling to a dance.
- What was her typical schedule like? She would leave on Friday, wrestle that same night, drive to the next town and do a show, the same for Sunday and on Monday arrive at the arena around noon and stay the whole day, fly home on Tuesday and only have Wednesday & Thursday off.
- Why she left? She felt it was the right time and felt like she accomplished all the goals that she setout to do.
- She's been comfortable with every storyline she has done. She had a great relationship with Vince and was able to let him know if she was not feeling a certain idea.
- Trish says tickets are still available to come out and see her at the River Cree Casino.
- Talk then moves to steroids in wrestling. Was there a issue with steroids when she was around? She never really seen any of it. Since she came from fitness it didn't affect her personally.
- She believes small breaks would make a huge difference in performances and attitudes.
- Chris Benoit? Of course there was that Canadian connection but he was a great guy to meet. She respected him for what he done for the business. He use to praise her matches. She's completely shocked over what happened like everyone else. Overall, she thinks he's a fantastic athlete and an amazing contributer to the industry.
- She's a hockey fan but not currently since her Leafs are done. The host convinces her to jump aboard the Oilers bandwagon.
- Coolest thing she's ever done? MADtv. What would she like to do? Host Saturday Night Live.
- As the interview wraps up, Trish asks if he'll be at the touch lounge Saturday? He says he will. She jokingly replys that she'll touch him later, actually meant see you later.
