Trish Stratus to be inducted into the Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame

We are excited to kick off 2025 with a huge announcement fitting for the year Trish Stratus' 25th anniversary with WWE will be celebrated. This January 30th, the Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame, which recognizes exceptional sports achievements and contributions of individuals who were born in or live in Richmond Hill, will induct Trish Stratus into their Class of 2025.

Recognized for her remarkable journey in sports entertainment and her monumental effect on the role of the female athlete, Stratus is a trailblazer in her industry. Her passion and ongoing commitment to empowering women to embrace strength, confidence, and resilience created ground-breaking strides and constant waves of inspiration for the future of all female athletes and women in sport.

"What an honor to be inducted into the Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame," says Trish. "Growing up in Richmond Hill, the community helped shape the path of my journey and served as the foundation of my future achievements. I am profoundly grateful to be recognized by the place I call home."

Stratus' steadfast determination to continuously challenge stereotypes and disrupt the 'norm' of what defines a woman in sport will be acknowledged in her hometown at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.

"The Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame is committed to recognizing and honoring the achievements of athletes who have attained prominence and distinction in their field of sport," said Carmen James, Chair of the Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame Committee. "We are excited to celebrate the 2025 Inductees'.

Tickets are now on sale. The public is invited to join this event and welcome the new inductees.
