Night of Champions Press Conference transcript
Before their epic showdown, Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch gathered for the Night of Champions Press Conference in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Byron Saxton: Ladies & gentlemen please welcome WWE Hall of Famer herself, Trish Stratus.
Trish: (Crowd chants Thank you Trish) This is what I like – an audience that gets it. Thank you.
Trish: Thank you. Thank you so much, guys.
Trish: Guys, I'm so excited. I'm so happy to be here, especially because it's my first time.
Trish: You also must be very, very happy to be welcoming the GOAT. Yes?
Trish: (GOAT chant) Thank you.
Trish: I'm excited about using this opportunity to remind Becky Lynch that she is making the biggest mistake of her career by facing me.
Trish: She has admitted that I am the greatest of my generation.
Trish: But what she needs to understand is that I am the greatest of all generations. Of every era. Period.
Trish: And after Night of Champions, when I deliver Stratusfaction – the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, my people, my Stratuspherians, and the entire WWE Universe will be saying (crowd says thank you Trish).
Becky Lynch's music plays.
Becky: The Man has come around to Jeddah!
Becky: And she's come around to whoop Trish Stratus back to 2006 where she should have stayed retired.
Becky: And so she comes out here and she tells you that she loves you and that she's so happy to be here, and she did the same thing with me, and I fell for it. Not only did she do that with me, she did that with my family, she did that with my baby, and after every show, the thing that you didn't see about Trish was she would come back and she would play with my child and act like she was auntie Trish. Oh, she was auntie Trish.
Becky: And then, and then, and then, and then she hits me in the back of the head.
Becky: (Crowd sings Seth Rollins' song) He wasn't happy about it either. He wasn't happy about it either.
Becky: But I understand this business. I understand this business. My husband Seth “Freakin” Rollins understands this business.
Becky: But my baby, my baby doesn't understand this business, and she made my baby cry. And for that they call you the queen of the attitude era.
Becky: Well, I'm gonna slap the attitude out of you tomorrow night.
