Official SummerSlam preview: Trish vs. Charlotte
"Dream Match" gets tossed around pretty loosely these days, but how else is one supposed to describe a SummerSlam bout between arguably the two greatest female Superstars in WWE history, especially when almost no one saw it coming right up until the moment that the 2013 WWE Hall of Famer and The Queen crossed paths on the July 30 episode of SmackDown LIVE?
While joining longtime admirer Jerry "The King" Lawler on a special edition of "The King's Court," Trish Stratus simply planned to chat about Raw Reunion and touch upon the possibility of someday returning to the ring for another match … but plans are always subject to change in the unpredictable world of WWE.
Stratus was completely caught off-guard and didn't immediately retort when nine-time Women's Champion Charlotte Flair stormed her appearance on "The King's Court," nonchalantly downplayed Trish's role as a loving mother of two and challenged her to a match at The Biggest Event of the Summer. When Charlotte made a crack that Trish should "go home and change diapers," Stratus only briefly hesitated before breaking out her Atittude Era game face. Her response? A fiery stare that would send all but the bravest of competitors running for the hills and a challenge accepted.
During her awe-inspiring career, Stratus racked up seven WWE Women's Titles, but she has only competed in three matches since 2011 (the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble and a pair of tag team matches at WWE Evolution and the following night on Raw).

During that time, Flair has run roughshod through WWE, racking up championship after championship, competing in countless "first-evers" and defeating nearly every Superstar on the roster -- all while carrying herself with an unshakeable confidence (or arrogance, depending on who you ask) that is unmatched by her peers.
Will the outspoken Queen strengthen her claim that she is "The Greatest Female Superstar of Any Era," or is she about to be humbled by a heavy dose of Stratusfaction from the WWE Hall of Famer, who will have the support of thousands of Torontonians screaming at the top of their lungs for their hometown hero? Find out when SummerSlam streams live on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network!
