This cover represents my triumph over my struggle with infertility. After suffering a miscarriage and getting a dismal diagnosis about my chances to conceive I embarked on a journey to take control of my fertility. Through my own research I made dietary and lifestyle changes and integrated a number of wellness modalities, we finally got the positive pregnancy test we wanted so bad 🎉✨ðŸ‘ðŸ¼ðŸ‘¶ðŸ»

When I got the call from the publisher of @musclememorymag at 8.5 months pregnant that he wanted to celebrate the pregnant my body, I knew I had to do it! I'm so thankful to them for the platform which has now allowed me to open a dialogue about my infertility. As I'm finding, we were not alone in this struggle and it was comforting as I began to speak about it, to discover so many similar stories.

Our story has a happy ending and I know not all couples' wishes will come true; but I think what is important is that everyone understands just how devastating infertility can be, and the more we talk, the more people don't feel alone with their thoughts, and more solutions can be found.

I've gotten mixed thoughts on this cover (mostly positive!). Of the more than 100 covers I've done, this is by far my most intimate. I am filled with life, my daughter who almost was not. When I finally became pregnant, I witnessed the power of the human body and I learned the importance of bringing the body into balance. Mother Nature basically told me I can't help you with this other being until you take care of the one that will house her. To house and nourish a life and bring her earthside is an honor my body bestowed upon me.

To capture this just weeks before delivering means everything. I think the cover shows strength, femininity, empowerment. I felt at my most beautiful that day and I wanted the photos to shout out to all the mamas-to-be to be belly proud and to be a reminder of the miracle of the woman's body and that it should be honored and trusted. Everything happens in the right timing - all must be in balance. Keep trying, keep hoping, keep visualizing with the intent to manifest. As Cinderella's Fairy Godmother said "even miracles take a little time"
