Batista gets WWE HOF nod
It was announced on Monday that [Dave] Batista and the nWo will be inducted into WWE's 2020 HOF class.
Batista became one of WWE's biggest stars from his rise in the group Evolution to becoming a six-time World Champion. Post-WWE Batista has found great success in Hollywood with Marvel's blockbuster GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and AVENGERS films.
Batista made his main roster debut as Deacon Batista in 2002. During this time we saw he and Trish interact during a short-lived feud that involved Stacy Keibler and Reverend D'Von.
The was the only time the two have crossed paths with the exception of post WWE appearances at conventions.
"Dave is passionate and hard working so it's no surprise to see the success he has had post WWE", says Trish of her fellow Greek WWE alumni. "He also has a great personality and sense of humor – and it's been awesome to see that side being discovered and put on display in Hollywood. It makes me happy seeing one of the good ones attain success and rightfully take his place in WWE Hall of Fame."
Batista wrestled in his final match against Triple H at WrestleMania this past April.
To all the @wwe fans across the world that gave me the opportunity to suspend your disbelief, thank you. From the biggest part of my heart thank you for letting me entertain you. Tonight was my story book ending and I wanted to leave you with all I had to give. I'll miss this theater of violence more than I can express in words but I am officially retiring from Sports Entertainment. I'm proud of what I've accomplished, I leave in great health, and without a doubt the show will go on. I had a hell of a run. Thank you for the journey ✌ðŸ¼#dreamchaser #wrestlemania35 ... this amazing photo of me exiting my farewell match courtesy of @ginalevay 📸
