Over the last few weeks, 2K has slowly been revealing the roster for the latest WWE video game, and this week the group of Superstars got a dose of Stratusfaction.

During Tuesday night's SmackDown Live broadcast, 2K officially announced that Trish Stratus was going to be one of the featured legends in WWE 2K17, set for release later this year. Trish's reveal was formally made in a Twitter post, however press learned earlier in the day and published the news to the delight of fans across the gaming world.

"I'm so excited to be a part of WWE 2K17," Trish said following the announcement. "With women's wrestling reaching another peak, there's going to be some awesome matches that will play out in the virtual world. I can't wait to kick some butts, of which I have not kicked before."

Among the other legends announced today were fellow WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Alundra Blayze.

WWE 2K17 releases in October on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
