TrishStratus.com is excited to share news that brings us closer to the release of Trish's new film, Gridlocked. As announced today by The Hollywood Reporter, a deal was struck with Mongrel Media to bring the action thriller to North America.
Official press release:
Mongrel Media has acquired Canadian rights to the action thriller GRIDLOCKED from writer-director Allan Ungar and Hackybox Pictures. It stars Dominic Purcell, Stephen Lang, and Danny Glover.
The deal for the film, which also stars former WWE superstar Trish Stratus and Cody Hackman, was made after its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin.
Written by Ungar and Rob Robol, the story follows a former SWAT leader and a hard-partying movie star who must cut their ride-along short when a police training facility is attacked by a team of mercenaries. It is produced by Bruno Marino.
Magnolia Pictures' genre arm Magnet Releasing will release the film in the US.
The Canadian deal was negotiated by Mongrel's Andrew Frank with Nate Bolotin of XYZ Films repping the filmmakers.
