Limited Edition DVD Stratusphere Yoga for Men, featuring Joe Carter, commemorates the 20th Anniversary of the Blue Jays' World Series win
Stratusphere, Trish Stratus' lifestyle brand has partnered with Hotel Yoga and Fitness, Inc. to produce Stratusphere Yoga for Men. The DVD, which features Blue Jays legend Joe Carter is commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Toronto Blue Jays' World Series win by releasing 20 limited edition DVDs exclusively through TrishStratus.com. Each DVD has been numbered and has been personally autographed by both Carter, a 5-time All Star and 2-time World Series champion, and Stratus, a 7-time WWE Women's Champion.
"I wanted to create a program that can be used as a workout alone or that can be used to enhance one's athletic performance when added to any current fitness regime," Trish tells TrishStratus.com.
The easy to follow, 25-minute workout is based on Stratus' signature yoga system which integrates strength training moves into a yoga flow. Designed specifically for men, this workout is suitable for all fitness levels and targets flexibility, mobility and strength development.
"I used to shy away from yoga because I thought it was for sissies. I was very wrong," Carter says. "It's a great workout that every man needs to do on a regular basis.
"I wish I had this workout 20 years ago, I probably could have won another Championship."
The DVD also includes a candid interview in which the future hall of famers discuss both of their sports careers and the injuries that went with it.
Executive Producer/ Creator Alana Hurov calls this is a 'fitness flick' – a cross between a movie and a fitness video. "The candid footage allows fans to really get to know these two exceptional athletes. It's unlike any DVD you have seen before," she says.
The initial 20 numbered copies, which will be available on a first come, first served basis will retail for $29. A portion of the proceeds of those sales as well as any DVDs purchased during the month of November will be donated to the Movember Foundation, which holds various events worldwide that raise funds and awareness for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer. The DVD which is targeted for men shares the same goal as the foundation – to encourage men to adopt a more healthy lifestyle.
