Trish Stratus headed to 2K16 DLC
Over the last few weeks, 2K Sports, developers of the upcoming WWE 2K16 video game, have been slowly releasing the roster of Superstars, Divas and Legends who will be part of the new game due out this month. Anxious Stratuspherians reviewed the list each week and could not find 7-time Women's Champion Trish Stratus on the list.
Until now.
We're excited to announce that Trish Stratus will be part of the Legends DLC (Downloadable Characters) pack that provides updates to the main roster as part of 2K16. Release date has yet to be confirmed.
Trish's character will be available along with Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, Lita, Mr. Perfect and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper for $8.99. The Legends Pack will also be available as part of the 2K16 Season Pass, which includes all downloadable characters, moves and matches.
"With the technology constantly improving, it always blows my mind seeing my character come to life," Trish said. "It's crazy to see how my moves and more so my mannerisms are captured."
2K16 boasts the most robust roster in WWE gaming history with 120 past and present competitors filling out the lineup. Graphical representation of the characters is also at its best with full optimization for the latest generation of the game. When quizzed, Trish was quick to talk about who she was looking forward to meeting in the digital ring.
"The cool thing about video games like WWE 2K16 is that you can have the fantasy matchups you've always wanted to see, whether it's girls vs. guys or generation vs. generation," Trish said. "After all that Bella vs Besties talk, some of you had been wanting to see some Stratusfaction being delivered to the Bellas... so, now we can see how that scenario would play out."
WWE 2K16 will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3 the last week of October.
