Miguel CabreraEarlier this year Trish Stratus became the face of New Balance as part of their Excellent Makers campaign. The national ads featuring the popular Minimus line appear in Sport Chek, the largest retail partner carrying Trish's Stratusphere Living yoga fitness line. The campaign is designed to motivate and inspire active consumers to reach a new level of performance – a new level of "Excellent". In the spring, she was joined by "excellent maker" Detroit Tigers third baseman, Miguel Cabrera.
"New Balance recognized that every day we all have the opportunity to make excellent happen. We hope this campaign inspires people to make Excellent happen in their own lives and in their own way," says Steve Gardner, SBU Manager for New Balance Lifestyle.
Like Trish, Cabrera is no stranger to setting records and making "excellent" happen. Last season, he was the first player to win the Triple Crown since 1967. He was also named 2012 MVP and is on his way to a third consecutive batting title this season.
TrishStratus.com reports today that Trish is confirmed for next season's campaign. The question is, with New Balance recently expanded their baseball presence by putting close to 40% of all MLBers under contract, which "excellent maker" will join her? Which baseball great would you like to see appear alongside Trish is New Balance's next campaign? Tell us in the comments below!
