Hamilton adds some Stratusfaction to their Comic Con
Hamilton Comic Con announced today that they will be bringing some stratusfaction to Hammer Town. The announcement of the addition of Trish Stratus brings the confirmed guest list to eight, with guests from TV and film, including Julie Newmar, best known for her portrayal as Catwoman on the original Batman TV Series and The Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno. More celebrity guest will be announced in the coming weeks.
"We're really excited to welcome one of the biggest names in wrestling history," said Chris Dabrowski, Show Manager for Hamilton Comic Con. "Trish Stratus is a true Candian icon, who helped revolutionize women's wrestling not only in Canada, but around the world," he added.
Stratus spent a lot of time in Hamilton in 2008 doing post production work for her travel show, Stratusphere with Suddenly Seemore Productions, which is based in Dundas, just outside of Hamilton. She was also there in 2012 when she filmed a cameo in Martin Short's CBC special — I, Martin Short, Goes Home — which was filmed at various locations in Hamilton.
"I'm excited for this appearance in Hamilton – it's been a while since I've been there!" Trish said, "And, I've heard nothing but great things about this con so I'm happy to visit again and be a part of this show"
In only it's second year, the Hamilton Comic Con has grown from 30,000 square feet to 125,000 square feet and will feature comic books, artists, exhibitors, a replica of the original Batmobile, a replica of the Original K.I.T.T. car, celebrities, Q&A sessions, movie memorabilia and more.
The Hamilton Comic Con will be held Saturday October 4th at the Hamilton Convention Centre from 10am-6pm.
